Senior Operations Manager with ANZ Royal Bank     


ANZ Royal is an international standard bank joint venture established between Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) and the Royal Group of Cambodia, that has been awarded the 2007 Financial Insights Innovation Award by Financial Insights Asia Pacific based in Singapore, following the reward given by the London publication “The Banker” as the Cambodian Bank of the Year Award.
ANZ Royal now is seeking customer-oriented and motivated individuals, who would like to gain work experience at ANZ Royal Bank for the position below.

Senior Operations Manager (1 position based in Phnom Penh)
 
The Senior Operations Manager has primary focus in leading and driving the Procurement, Projects and the Property agendas for ANZ Royal Bank in Cambodia. Also responsible for being the second in charge in the Operations Business Unit and plays a leadership role across all Operations departments including IT, International Services, Operational Risk Management, Electronic Banking Services, and Operations Support.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provision of high level strategic procurement, project advice and direction.
  • Provide strategic input and guidance into sourcing solutions to meet the commercial and business imperative of internal customers.
  • Reduce supplier service delivery risk and in conjunction with Supplier Management develop collaborative relationships with ANZ business units and suppliers to realize cost reduction and increased value.
  • Provide superior procurement support to relevant areas by acting as a Subject Matter Expert to key business stakeholders. This ensures that stakeholders are kept fully aware of the progress, issues and risks associated with procurement, property and projects.
  • Lead the Project team to ensure Projects are delivered within budget, timeframe and quality requirements.
  • Lead the property team in managing the review, maintenance and leasing of the property portfolio of ANZ Royal.
  • Act as relieving Chief Operating Officer in the Operations Business Unit when the COO is absent.
  • Develop and finetune with the COO a suitable operational plan that is congruent with strategy of ANZ Royal, and the country’s strategic agenda.
  • Prepare and review the Opex budget for Operations and the Capex Budget for ANZ Royal.
  • Inspire the creation of a culture of collaboration, trust, openness, integrity across all Operations departments.
  • Drive and support adequate training to ensure team is adequately aware of their risk management and compliance requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Demonstrated operational experience in an international working environment.
  • Proven procurement management experience and experience with managing vendors and suppliers.
  • Experience in project management (eg. Process re-engineering/initiatives/project management, premises management).
  • Knowledge of front/back office processes and procedures and related controls.
  • Knowledge of banking systems is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Effective and well-rounded people management skills, and experience in leading and developing a diverse team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, planning, problem solving and organizing skills.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
