Head of Finance with ANZ Royal Bank

ANZ Royal is an international standard bank joint venture established between Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) and the Royal Group of Cambodia, that has been awarded the 2007 Financial Insights Innovation Award by Financial Insights Asia Pacific based in Singapore, following the reward given by the London publication “The Banker” as the Cambodian Bank of the Year Award.
ANZ Royal now is seeking customer-oriented and motivated individuals, who would like to gain work experience at ANZ Royal Bank for the position below.

Head of Finance (1 position based in Phnom Penh)

Reporting to the CEO, the successful applicant will lead the finance function to deliver on all aspects of financial and management reporting, as well as external reporting and compliance. The role is also responsible for reporting to the Board and within the ANZ group. A focus on continuous improvement and on going people development is also a key to the role.

JOB LOCATION: Phnom Penh

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage broad finance function, inclusive of financial & management reporting, forecasting, tax compliance, regulatory reporting and statutory accounts.
Analyze and report on business performance against Plan and forecasts
Proactively manage and respond to CEO and BU Head information requests
Strategic planning with CEO and BU heads, setting annual Plan and 5 year outlook
Prepare and present Finance Board pack to the BOD
Oversee ANZ Group reporting (BSAM, Preparers Statement, periodic reporting) and management of ANZ regional stakeholders
Staff management, development and succession planning

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Accounting and post-graduate qualifications (i.e. membership of CPA) is preferred.
A sound knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting techniques.
Good PC/systems literacy, including strong Excel skills and knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or Hyperion.
A strong knowledge of the Cambodian operations would be a distinct advantage, in particular knowledge of the tax and banking regulatory environments.
Superior ability to quickly diagnose, develop alternatives and solve problems using a flexible approach.
Sound analytical skills, with ability to identify when data and analysis is materially incorrect and apply solutions.
Strong communication and negotiating skills combined with the ability to deal with all seniority levels within the line of business.
Demonstrated experience in selecting, managing and developing a team, and the ability to lead by example.
Self motivated, self starter, demonstrated initiative and a strong desire to improve processes
Assertiveness, to ensure that opportunities for economies and improved financial performance are adopted.
