SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is an international non-governmental organisation that delivers capacity-building advisory services, including knowledge brokering, networking and advocacy, to over 2,000 clients in 33 countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Balkans, in order to support local actors to strengthen their performance to effectively realise poverty reduction.
 
SNV is implementing a capacity development program in Cambodia since 2005. It started with the support to the implementation of the Biogas Program, which was followed by advisory support to Pro-Poor Sustainable Tourism in 2006. These two sectors match well with the development priorities in Cambodia and the possibilities for up-scaling SNV Asia products in both sectors. SNV is expanding its services significantly, including the start in two new sectors: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and Small Holder Cash Crops.
 
SNV Cambodia is now looking for a professional Partnership and Resource Mobilisation Consultant (PRMC), who will report directly to the Country Director, to join our SNV team.
 
Main responsibilities
  - Ensuring appropriate marketing and external communication with regards to business development
  - Coordinating the process of preparing proposals/bids in consultation with sector leaders and management
  - Overseeing donor relation management (reporting, visits, PR)
  - Developing the country Partnership and Resource Mobilisation strategy with the country Management Team
  - Developing formats for proposal processes in line with the country and regional strategies
  - Maintaining and applying Resource Mobilisation data
  - Contributing to the securing of funds for country programmes.
 
Requirements
  - Minimum 5 years experience in partnership development and fund raising initiatives at the national and international levels.
  - Demonstrated understanding of capacity building approaches.
  - Demonstrated success in proposal development and writing.
  - Previous work in the Asian context.
  - Proven ability to transfer partnership development best practices to colleagues.
  - Positive interpersonal listening and persuasive speaking abilities.
  - Excellent written (English) skills.
 
Remuneration and duration of contract
Based on experience and qualification. Initially for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
