Description
    

Bridges Across Borders Cambodia (BABC) is an international solidarity organization that has been working to support people’s action for social justice, inclusive development and human rights change in Cambodia since 2003. BABC is currently in the final stages of a localization process that will result in the establishment of a new national organization called Equitable Cambodia.

Equitable Cambodia will continue in BABC’s footsteps to promote equitable development and the progressive realization of human rights in Cambodia through training, research, evidence-based advocacy and support for community-driven development initiatives.

BABC is searching for an exceptional candidate to fulfill the position of Executive Director of Equitable Cambodia. This talented and dynamic individual will lead the overall development, management and representation of Equitable Cambodia in collaboration with the existing Management Team and under the direction of the Board of Directors. This position will be based at Equitable Cambodia’s head office in Phnom Penh with travel required.

Duties

• Lead the execution of a three-year strategic plan, which guides Equitable Cambodia’s efforts to transform the national development model into one that respects, protects and progressively fulfills the human rights of the Cambodian people.
• Raise the performance of managers and the teams they lead. Continuously assess progress of managers and their teams and provide support as necessary to ensure that they have the inputs needed to meet organizational and program objectives. 

• Oversee the implementation of financial and administrative systems and policies to ensure that the organization operates effectively and transparently.
• Manage program budgets and provide effective oversight of financial controls in collaboration with the Finance Manager and Program Managers.
• Represent Equitable Cambodia with partners and stakeholders, including communities, people’s organizations, NGOs, multi-lateral institutions, donors, and local and national level authorities.
• Lead the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy in order to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the organization.
• Oversee reporting and public communications, including fulfilling external and internal reporting requirements, website management, and production of annual report.
• Support the Management Team to apply good governance solutions to problems that occur.

Requirements
    

• Cambodian National
• At least 10 years of public-interest work experience and a minimum of 5 years senior level management experience, preferably in the field of human rights
• Advanced university degree in a field relevant to Equitable Cambodia’s work

• Demonstrated ability to attract, motivate and build capacity of a dynamic team
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
• Sound knowledge of and commitment to the human rights approach to development
• A passion to achieve Equitable Cambodia\\\'s mission and goals and a commitment to our core values
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and after-hours
• Fluent in English and Khmer with a proven ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
